ILI Presents in the NILS International Conference on Law Reform and the Law Making Process for the Nigerian National Assembly

The National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS) for the Nigerian National Assembly in conjunction with ILI, the National Judicial Institute, and the Nigerian Law Reform Commission will be presenting the International Law Conference on Law Making Reform and the Law Making Process in Abuja, Nigeria from July 16 - 17.  The high level conference is expected to attract hundreds of Legislators from the National Assembly, State Assemblies, and the ECOWAS Parliament.  The Conference will be attended by the leadership of the National Assembly, including the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker of the House, Deputy Senate President, Ministers of the Federation and Judges will also be present.  ILI will bring the team of Kenny Kraft former Counsel for the U.S. Congress House Appropriations Committee, Art Ryearson former Deputy Legislative Counsel for the U.S. Senate, David Ogle former Executive Director of the Connecticut State Assembly, and Kim Phan ILI Executive Director to present on appropriations, legislative drafting, the role of public hearings, and civil society in law making and democracies.
