Faculty

 

The Workshop Faculty consists of a team of four persons, the President of the International Development Training Institute (IDTI) associated with the International Law Institute (ILI) and the three Fellows of the International Center for Management and Analysis of Projects (CIMAP) of the Lille Graduate School of Management (ESC), France. IDTI provides management training and management consultancy for many developing-country organizations. CIMAP provides consulting services and training in project management to a number of large European enterprises and French public organizations.

Rene Springuel, President of IDTI, Senior Fellow at ILI and former senior manager in the World Bank, has more than 40 years experience in managing development projects. As President of IDTI he directed more than 20 missions to restructure various administrations as well as public and private enterprises and about 60 seminars and workshops in Washington or in developing countries on various aspects of management. Previously in the World Bank he managed preparation, negotiations and monitoring of more than 50 projects, identified more than 100 projects, directed a management program to improve internal communications in the Bank and created and managed about 40 management training programs in Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Springuel holds a Doctorate in Law, a License in Economics and an MA in International Economics.

Olivier Le Fournier, Fellow of CIMAP, manages its consulting and training services as well as the Executive Programs and the Strategy and Management Department of the Lille Graduate School of Management (ESC Lille). Previously in his own consulting cabinet he trained and coached managers from large public and private companies on corporate strategy, and as Head of the International Department of Scalbert Dupont Bank (CIC Group), he managed international correspondent banking. Mr. Le Fournier holds an Executive MBA from the CPA, HEC group, a MS in Project and Program Management (ESC Lille), a bachelor in Law and a bachelor in Economics.

Pierre Daniel, Fellow of CIMAP, is developing further its systems analysis approach and applying it to various large enterprises. As professor at ESC, he teaches management and directs the Virtual-Lab that conducts research in the New Techniques of Information and Communication and their use in the management of virtual teams. He is deputy director of the Institut Technologique Européen d’Entrepreneuriat & de Management (ITEEM). He is also Visiting Professor at the University of Technology of Sydney (UTS, Australia) where he teaches Project Strategic Management to executives from private and public organizations. Mr. Daniel holds an MA in Management from the Lille Graduate School of Management (ESC Lille), a MS in Project and Program Management (ESC Lille) and a MS in Strategy & Organization (Lille University).

Carole Lecubin, Fellow of CIMAP, is concentrating on the human dimension of system analysis. As a professor and researcher at ESC Lille, she teaches Management of Teams and Leadership, and leads the Quality Policy in ESC Lille. She is also Visiting Professor at the University of Technology of Sydney (UTS), Australia. Previously she was successively Marketing manager specialized in developing new products and Project Manager in two companies respectively leaders in their international markets. Ms Lecubin holds an MA in Management from the Lille Graduate School of Management (ESC Lille) and a MS in Strategy & Organization from Lille University, and is Myers Briggs Typology Indicator (MBTI) certified.
