Course Advisor: Arthur J. Rynearson

 

Arthur J. Rynearson is an adjunct law instructor at American University's law school, where he teaches the drafting of foreign relations and immigration law. From 1976 to 2003, he served as an attorney in the legislative drafting service of the United States Senate, the Office of the Legislative Counsel, where he was the chief draftsman of foreign relations, international, and immigration law. He has drafted, in whole or in part, thousands of bills, resolutions, and amendments. He served as Deputy Legislative Counsel of the United States Senate from 1999 to 2003. He is a graduate of the Cornell Law School, where he specialized in international legal affairs, and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Hamilton College, where he majored in Government.
