ILI-ACLE NEWSLETTER What It Is . . . The e-newsletter helps fulfill ILI-ACLE's mandate to provide first-rate services to its constituency throughout the sub-Saharan African region. It disseminates information concerning ILI-ACLE's operations and activities and furnishes information on various aspects of law and related governance developments of critical importance to members of the ILI-ACLE community. Who It Involves . . . The e-newsletter currently includes updates on the past activities of the Institute, as well as announcements and information about new and future activities relating to the following ILI-ACLE priority areas: commercial law and trade, the promotion of good governance and human rights, global security, the environment, and the role of law in Informtation Technology. In addition, the Institute hopes that the newsletter will evolve to serve past ILI-ACLE participants as a forum to express their views and inform the ILI-ACLE community on professional developments in their diverse fields of interest. We therefore encourage our alumni, faculty, and other interested individuals to make contributions on any topic they feel should be featured in the newsletter.
