ILI hosted the 7th Conference on International Coordination of Secured Transactions Reform on November 19-20, 2024. The conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey and online. With over 60 attendees from standard-setting organizations, international financial organization and public and private sector representatives, the conference focused on Bridging the Distance between Formulation and Implementation. Topics included: the development of international standards, the role of donor organizations and the private sector, regional experiences, and strategies for implementation of reforms through a product-based approach, among other key topics.
ILI and the Joint Conference Executive Committee are grateful to the Association of Financial Institutions (Finansal Kurumlar Birliği) in Istanbul, who provided the venue and managed all logistics for the success of the conference. And, to Hergüner Bilgen Üçer Attorney Partnership, for their partnership and for hosting an engaging reception for attendees.
