 CLSR ILI MOU 2022 COUNTER SIGNED


 

The International Law Institute is pleased to announce that it has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Center of Legal Studies and Research in the Bureau of Exports at the Council of Ministers, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aim of this MOU is for the Center and ILI to collaborate on areas of legal and policy research, conferences and exchanges, and developing and delivering high quality legal training programs to the Center and its stakeholders.

The Center of Legal Studies and Research is committed to achieving its strategic goal of developing and enriching the legal environment in the Kingdom.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Center of Legal Studies and Research is charged with contributing to the development and enrichment of the legal environment in Saudi Arabia.

The Center is a trusted source of legal reference. It provides well-reasoned, practical legal solutions; carries out specialized training courses for leaders of legal departments within the government sector so that they may best serve the people of Saudi Arabia; contributes to the development of legislation and regulations, based on established values and legal heritage; prepares reports and summaries about modern legislation and regulations; and provides specialized legal expertise to legal and government stakeholders throughout the Kingdom.

The Center's primary tasks include:

  • Developing and enriching the legal environment in the Kingdom by providing integrated legal solutions of high quality
  • Preparing legal studies and research and developing legal research methods in a way that contributes to developing the research capabilities of specialists
  • Qualifying and training legal cadres in government agencies
  • Cooperation with fatwa and legislative bodies and legal studies and research centers in other countries
  • Supporting government agencies with legal outputs that take into account governance and performance indicators, and contribute to rationalizing public spending
  • Providing a legal reference for the laws and regulations of government agencies that fit future aspirationsAssisting in creating an attractive legal environment through knowledge sharing and cooperation with the leading authorities in this field
  • Contribute to holding seminars and work meetings for specialists and those interested in legal affairs
  • Establishing a database and central information for legal studies and research and making it available to the authorities


Today the Center represents a government agency with high aspirations, characterized by qualitative partnerships and integrated legal solutions based on qualified experts. The Center also holds a "Future Advisor Program" to build competencies of new graduates in the field of law in order to prepare them to support the work of the Center and act as successful future leaders.

The ILI is a leading provider of training and technical assistance in international law, international economics, and other aspects of international relations. ILI is an independent, non-political, non-profit educational institute serving a global constituency. The ILI and its global affiliates have trained over 40,000 officials from 186 countries in the U.S. and abroad. ILI also provides technical expertise to developing nations in the drafting of laws and the designing of their economic and government policies, in efforts to further support and promote good and efficient governance through the rule of law.

Per the memorandum of cooperation, the International Law Institute will conduct benchmark studies programs with by the Center of Legal Studies and Research. The ILI will also engage in exchanges, expertise, conferences, and seminars of common interest.

Our first share research and paper will be on the subject of Food Security.
