Director of Finance and Information
Carmelu, Director of Finance at the International Law Institute (ILI), has over 15 years of experience in the contracting, finance, budgeting, and accounting field within the CPA, nonprofit, and development industries. For the past 10 years, she has been a critical member of management at a non-profit, overseeing various financial, accounting, and contracting functions.
As a financial strategist, she compiles and interprets financial information and develops budgets, forecasts, predictive models, and activity-based financial analysis to provide strategic insight and recommendations to management for short-term and long-term operational goals, in addition to monitoring an organization’s financial performance against budget, financial targets, and financial performance indicators. She has substantial knowledge of federal and state fund reporting and internal compliance. Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for federal and state funding agencies while keeping up with most recent federal and state laws and regulations changes.
In 2007, she graduated with a Cum Laude distinction, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.
